As QPP continues to grow and Queensland’s HIV response enters a dynamic new chapter, we are seeking two passionate people living with HIV to join our Board to help guide our future.
This is an exciting opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way while helping shape the future of HIV services, advocacy and peer support across Queensland. We are particularly interested in appointing someone who lives outside the south-east corner of the state.
We encourage applications from people living with HIV who are passionate about improving health and wellbeing outcomes for our communities. Previous board experience is welcome but not essential.
We are seeking people who are committed to good governance, strategic thinking and community leadership. Most importantly, you will bring your lived experience, commitment to our communities, and a passion for QPP’s peer-led approach.
Regional Representative/Ordinary Board Member
This position is for someone who lives with HIV residing in Queensland, and has a passion for their community. You’ll bring your lived experience and, ideally, previous leadership or board experience to the table. As a member of the QPP Board, you’ll guide the organisation’s future, helping QPP deliver vital services, advocate for rights, and build an inclusive community.
Special Representative
We’re looking for an experienced leader with a strong grasp of governance and financial oversight. This position, which can be filled by someone living with HIV or a supportive ally residing in Queensland, is a chance to use your expertise to help with strategic direction, sound financial management, and accountability.

Both positions require a 1-2 year commitment and can be filled on a voluntary basis or with remuneration. Your contributions will directly support QPP’s mission to improve the lives of people living with HIV, reduce new transmissions, and advocate for the community.
