Thrive Together – HIV & Wellness Workshop 9

About Event
Ageing with HIV
More people than ever are living—and thriving—longer with HIV.
Thanks to treatment advances, people living with HIV are living well into their 50s, 60s, 70s and beyond. This is something to celebrate. With age comes experience, perspective, and strength—but it can also bring new questions about health, identity, relationships, and how HIV fits into the ageing journey.
This workshop is a space to explore the experience of growing older with HIV—openly and without judgment. We’ll talk about what healthy ageing looks like, how to stay connected, and how to support your physical, emotional, and mental wellbeing at every stage of life.
Whether you’re navigating new diagnoses, long-term survivorship, or simply curious about what’s ahead, you’re not alone. Together, we’ll share knowledge, swap wisdom, and reflect on the resilience it takes to live—and age—well with HIV.
What You Can Expect at the Workshops:
-
- Peer-led, inclusive, and confidential group sessions
- Guest speakers with lived or clinical experience
- Strategies to support your identity, wellbeing, and mental health
- Resources you can take home and apply in your daily life
Travel support is available — just let us know in advance if you’d like assistance.
Proudly supported with funding from the Lord Mayor’s Charitable Trust, these workshops are designed for people living with HIV and will support mental wellbeing, reduce stigma, and strengthen peer connection in a culturally safe and professionally supported space.
