    About Event

Each 9th March is the National Day of Women Living with HIV.

We’re joining NAPWHA in commemorating the 11th National Day of Women living with HIV with this year’s campaign, Herstory: Unique and United, with stories of strength, resilience and grassroots work of women living with HIV across the country.

Following International Women’s Day, the National Day of Women Living with HIV acknowledges the unique challenges, stigma, and barriers that women living with HIV face in Australia, The day encourages us all to strive towards equality in healthcare, reduction in the barriers to appropriate testing and treatment, and the elimination of HIV related stigma in our communities. Most importantly, it celebrates the courage, resilience, and achievements in their lives, and honours those who have been lost.
