About Event
Our next Multicultural Social Group is on Saturday 24th September, 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at our main QPP Office, at 21 Manilla Street, East Brisbane QLD 4169.
We have a fabulous guest joining us, who will talk about their migration experience as a person living with HIV, and share the importance of self-care in going through a long and rigorous migration journey ahead.
The event is not intended to provide migration or legal advice; however, it is an informal discussion to connect and support the positive community, but if you have any questions our guest would like to respond as well, please feel free to email us at info@qpp.org.au before the date.
The Multicultural Social Group is open to all and is primarily a safe space for people living with HIV who are international students, holiday workers and other temporary visa entrants in Queensland. Come and meet new friends, share stories and culture, and have fun! There is always a peer navigator present to support the group at all times. As we are still in the midst of COVID-19 pandemic, we are encouraging everyone to be mindful if they are showing flu-like symptoms and/or have been with someone who has COVID-19 to not to attend this event for now.

- Adherence to host or trainer directions: Follow the guidance provided by the social group host or trainer.
- Alcohol and drug-Free environment: Acknowledge that all social groups, Better Connect+ events, and training activities are alcohol and drug-free environments.
- Consent: By completing this form, I understand that all information about me will be kept confidential and only used to provide information to me. Queensland Positive People will share information if they are required by law to do so.
