Linking to the right healthcare is only half of the story. Linking with your community for social and peer support is also essential for health and well-being.
It’s normal to experience significant feelings of social isolation as you begin your journey to accept an HIV diagnosis. The Peer Navigation Program provides direct peer linkage between you and a trained Peer Navigator who is also living with HIV.
Beyond this immediate peer linkage, your Peer Navigator can also link you with other People Living with HIV (PLHIV) for social and peer support.
Some social and peer support options include:
- QPP Peer Support Officer – can provide 1-on- 1 and linkage with peer support groups in your area;
- The Institute of Many (TIM) – a social media peer support platform on Facebook;
