All events will be listed on the Queensland World AIDS Day website www.qldworldaidsday.org.au \n\n\n\n\n\nRemembering and celebrating those we have lost from HIV/AIDS\, and showing support for all those who live with HIV starts with me.\nRaising awareness of HIV and today’s increased testing\, treatment and prevention options\, making sure community\, friends and family know how to stay free of HIV starts with me.\nShining a light on HIV stigma and discrimination\, and leading by example confronting ignorance\, dispelling myths and misinformation about HIV\, starts with me.\nWhile HIV still threatens the world today\, we must take bold action against inequality\, promote understanding and advocate for human and health rights. Change is more than a moment\, it’s a movement that starts with me.\n\n\nThis World AIDS Day remember to: Wear a Ribbon this December 1st\, attend an event or vigil near you if you can\, and have a conversation or share a story about World AIDS Day with others\, and what it means to you.

DESCRIPTION:Each 9th March is the National Day of Women Living with HIV.\nWe’re joining NAPWHA in commemorating the 11th National Day of Women living with HIV with this year’s campaign\, Herstory: Unique and United\, with stories of strength\, resilience and grassroots work of women living with HIV across the country. \nFollowing International Women’s Day\, the National Day of Women Living with HIV acknowledges the unique challenges\, stigma\, and barriers that women living with HIV face in Australia\, The day encourages us all to strive towards equality in healthcare\, reduction in the barriers to appropriate testing and treatment\, and the elimination of HIV related stigma in our communities. DESCRIPTION:World AIDS Day is Sunday\, December 1st this year. It starts with me. \n\n\n\nThere are numerous events and remembrance vigils throughout Queensland in the process of being planned. alongside our annual Buildings in Red project. All events will be listed on the Queensland World AIDS Day website www.qldworldaidsday.org.au \n\n\n\n\n\nRemembering and celebrating those we have lost from HIV/AIDS\, and showing support for all those who live with HIV starts with me.\nRaising awareness of HIV and today’s increased testing\, treatment and prevention options\, making sure community\, friends and family know how to stay free of HIV starts with me.\nShining a light on HIV stigma and discrimination\, and leading by example confronting ignorance\, dispelling myths and misinformation about HIV\, starts with me.\nWhile HIV still threatens the world today\, we must take bold action against inequality\, promote understanding and advocate for human and health rights. Change is more than a moment\, it’s a movement that starts with me.\n\n\nThis World AIDS Day remember to: Wear a Ribbon this December 1st\, attend an event or vigil near you if you can\, and have a conversation or share a story about World AIDS Day with others\, and what it means to you.

DESCRIPTION:Each 9th March is the National Day of Women Living with HIV.\nWe’re joining NAPWHA in commemorating the 11th National Day of Women living with HIV with this year’s campaign\, Herstory: Unique and United\, with stories of strength\, resilience and grassroots work of women living with HIV across the country. \nFollowing International Women’s Day\, the National Day of Women Living with HIV acknowledges the unique challenges\, stigma\, and barriers that women living with HIV face in Australia\, The day encourages us all to strive towards equality in healthcare\, reduction in the barriers to appropriate testing and treatment\, and the elimination of HIV related stigma in our communities. Most importantly\, it celebrates the courage\, resilience\, and achievements in their lives\, and honours those who have been lost. \nLearn more about the National Day of Women Living with HIV\, and check out the wonderful work of Positive Women.

DESCRIPTION:QPP joins our community in acknowledging the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial. \nThe International AIDS Candlelight Memorial\, held on the third Sunday of May every year\, is a time for all of us to remember the many lives lost to AIDS. It is an opportunity to honour those who dedicated their lives to helping people living with and affected by HIV and continue to mobilise our communities in solidarity. \nThe 2024 International AIDS Candlelight Memorial theme is: “Together we remember\, together we heal\, through love and solidarity!”.
